Received this email from Cameron today (20 feb):
"It's been hovering around twenty below all day as I've made final preparations with the sled,
laying in supplies of fuel, repairing a few items, and waiting on a few things to happen here in
Barrow before I can head out. But the waiting is about over, and I should be on the way by 9:30am
tomorrow (Wed), headed for Iko Bay, about 20 miles SE of Barrow. I'll post details of this trek's objectives
etc., tomorrow (Wed) AM, as well as a few photos of the fully-loaded sled and me about to head out.
Highs around -25F, and lows around -35F in Barrow by the end of the week, and since it's a bit colder inland,
it'll ll be plenty chilly out there! But I'm looking forward to it and have meticulously planned every item of
cloting, piece of equipment, and so on. If I didn't feel good about the preparations, I would fly home tomorrow.
But, I'm well prepared and anxious to go!"
