Comments from a satellite phone conversation with Cameron today (24 feb. 7:55pm PST):

"I will now start making day trips out of here. I have video camera batteries and film that should last about four days. I should be wrapping things up around the 28th.

This morning there was a crunching and walking sound outside the cabin. I was petrified for about one hour, with my hand on the gun. I was convinced it was a polar bear. When I finally had the courage to go outside, I found caribou tracks around the cabin."
